Looks like his talk of wanting to be with a winning team was all hot air! Apparently the LLE wasn't enough. I dont know what he was expecting for a contract after his short stint here. He's a 32 year old point guard that barely contributed in the playoffs, missing wide open jumpers that was his normal forte. Looks like it'll be someone new for the thrid year in a row to backup Rondo.

There has been talk that the Celtics are afraid that Rondo's salary demands will exceed what they are willing to pay, that he thinks he's a max player and the Celtics don't. Actually, I know very little about many of this year's players.

But in reading about them, this guy caught my eye. His bio says "J.R. Rider/Cory Maggette comps", but reading his summary, he sounds like a Trevor Ariza type to me.

So, my question is, do the facts that we almost beat the Magic and that the Magic then proceeded to beat the Cavs rather easily, mean that if all three teams had been healthy that we would have come out on top?

I think it may be that matchups make a bigger difference than is commonly discussed. The Magic match up really well with the Cavs, better than they do against the Celtics and maybe better than the Celtics do against the Cavs. A big part of that is that Perk handles Howard...

So at what point do we scrap this thing and build this team around Rondo? At best we have a 2yr window with the current crew and at what point do we move some huge contracts to start the rebuilding phase.

Do we construct the team to take advantage of Rondo's strengths as a fast tempo player? Or do we still attempt to build this thing around defense once KG is gone? Do we include Pierce in our future plans to rebuild this team?

I don't know if there are any hockey fans here, or Bruins fans. I used to be a huge hockey fan many years ago when Bobby Orr was playing but fell away from the game for a long time. Periodically I would try to watch but found the game boring. But they've opened up the game with some rule changes and the speed is back in the game and much more fun to watch.

Now with the Bruins playing well and about to skunk their archrival Canadiens, I'm getting into it ( and yeah...
