It's at eleven right now. It's impressive to be sure as the team and especially KG have come out of their early season slumber. Just wish we could play some of the top teams like the Magic, Hawks, Cavaliers or Lakers to see if this is fool's gold or a legitimate gelling of the current squad.

As I watched Rondo thread the needle time after time last night, it occured to me that there are only two other Celtics all time who were in his league as a passer. I think it's pretty obvious who they are. Can anyone think of anyone else who are as good as these three? Or even close?

I find myself rewinding plays to see how the heck Rondo saw an opening to get the ball through. The kid has amazing court sense and vision. Maybe he can't shoot, but he is fun as hell to...

Hey Dudes - if the 2007-08 Celtics were version 1.0, what version would this 2009-2010 Celtics team be? Have there been enough upgrades to dub this year's team as version 2.0? Or how about "La Estación de la Bandera Dieciocho"? Just call them iCeltics version 1.2

Perk just keeps getting better

I was thinking of this even before his fine performance of last night. Perk has gotten better each and every year - and on both ends of the court. This year his offense is just so much more fluid and, dare I say it, athletic. No, he's never going to be Dwight Howard, but he's become more than serviceable. Boy has he come a long way! Credit to him for his hard work, on his game and on his body, to the coaches who have worked with him, and to Danny - who saw a diamond in the rough.

Well, finally got to see a game, and it just had to be this one. We looked terrible. Flat for most of the game, and Atl ran right past us. We just looked, dare I say it.....old. I just hope the past few games have been a funk, as opposed to what we can expect throughout the season. If the latter, we have no chance...

Glen Davis or Sheldon Williams?

Glen Davis has always brought out strong opinions on this board, and I don't think this topic will be any different.

Does it seem that with every good performance by Sheldon Williams, the chances of Glen Davis taking back his spot in the rotation diminish? To me it seems clear that Williams is the better rebounder. I don't know how they'll compare as defenders once Williams fully understand the rotations, but I haven't seen anything so far that makes me think that...

This game was about as ugly as we've seen in a long time. Almost unwatchable. But at least we won.

Doc calls it "slippage" and it's actually amazing to me how much - even with a veteran team - the Celtics play suffers when then don't get practice time. Now Doc has them for three days before the Jazz game on Wed, so I'm hoping to see fresher legs and minds for that one.
