According to Donaghy's father, Tim's life is in shambles now.

Lives at a friends house, sleeps on the sofa, and doesn't get to see his kids, let alone his wife.(Leave it to Ugh to bring up the wife - lol)

Assuming that's true, he is paying a heavy price for his greed.

I guess I didn't realize his wife left him as well, that's pretty lame. I suppose a sexist joke like, "If you can't take the heat, then get out of the kitchen" would be inappropriate?

What is sad is his wife had no problem spending the money and she HAD to know what was going on...but the second the cops came, she had those divorce papers in his hands immediately pretending to have had no knowledge. I don't condone what he did and he should serve time if you thing about all the MILLIONS of people he affected changing the outcome of games. Hell, if he affected a C's important game I'd fn beat him myself.

My only regret is Stern isn't in the cell...

Well Zeke, you can't put it past Stern to be in cahoots behind the scenes with Donaghy's private investors. Afterall, Stern wants to get a team into Vegas

Sentencing in this country is as uneven as calls in the NBA. Not sure any of it makes much sense.

But they have to make an example out of him, thus some real time. Not sure what you would compare it to for fairness.

Sentencing was today, cut down from 33 months. As awful as his transgressions were, I am actually surprised the sentence was so harsh.

I also read some quotes from his wife, indicating that he had been in major depression lately, constantly apologizing to everyone for everything. Apparently they have been fairly honest with their two kids, saying that Daddy did some very bad things and he might be sent to "camp". His wife has to take care of the two kids on her own now...
