Things have gone a bit down from the opening possession - we need to do a better job on the offensive boards, and Kobe's getting in the paint a bit. Also,
we're taking too many jump shots.

Here we go again. Same ole.

I don't care what happens. If Kobe's going to give Rondo about 10 feet, he has to take the damn shot.

I feel like we're taking too many jump shots, but in reality, we're probably just taking the *wrong* jump shots, if that makes any sense.
As I say this, RayRay drains a three. |

I am on for the first part of the game, my wife is at work and I cannot see the game from here...

Fn Doc...let's wait until we are 20pts down before calling a time out. And they draw up a play for a 20 footer.

Gotta stop turning the ball over. That said, our offense hasn't been that bad - we're just missing some shots we shouldn't miss. Pierce just missed
a layup.
Kobe sooooo deserves a T. Bennett Salvatore doesn't have the balls to call it. The biggest thing is we gotta do better on the boards. As I type that, KG pulls down an offensive board and Posey hits a three. |

They have to get fn raped before they get a call it seems. Free throws are 10-0 so far....hooray Salvatore and Crawford.

We'll be fine if we continue to play lock down D. We can only do so much with Kobe but it's so obvious the other guys basically need to be wide open to
be a factor. Seems like we're settling for jumpers tho. KG needs to get the ball in the paint.

got the game finally - all I can say is wow! I thought the "Lakers will get all the calls" hype was just that, but I was wrong, wrong, wrong

I've added a chat room that can be accessed from the Lounge. We can rename it and tweak it tomorrow based on what we see tonight.
We've weathered the early storm and some atrocious shooting and are hanging in there. Now, if we can get PP and KG going ...

maybe Salvatore can earn his money by fouling out a Celtic and help us by making that player Sam Cassell.

Well, on the bright side, we took what might be the Lakers' best shot and came out of the first quarter tied, and at a relatively low score, which
doesn't bode well for the offensive-minded Lakers. We still gotta pick up the rebounding, and there was some signs of that later in the first quarter.

Wow awesome dribble penetration by Rondo and the dish to Powe but...we couldn't convert. I couldn't tell for sure but was Powe mauled on that play?

I agree Zeke. Pierce, KG and Ray have not even gotten going yet and it's close. KG's line is 0 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks. Loved that block on
Gasol!

Fn Garnett and these Shite jumpers. 1-9 and counting. They are playing like the are satisfied being up 2-0. We are headed for a blowout.

I was at the game tonight and I must say, I'm extremely disappointed at the body language of the team to start the game. There was no passion from the
bench, no intensity...several players looked bored. I'm off to drink the night away....but I have some observations I'll post later. I think game 4 is
crucial...because if we lose game 4, we are going to lose game 5. Just my opinion.

It seems we're all a little hung over from the game last night, whether from booze or just disappointment. No loss is a good loss, but I don't think,
as much as we may have loved to see it, that any of us expected a four game sweep of the Lakers, and given that LA pretty much HAD to win last night (since no
team has ever come back from 0-3), and that we were in the game until the final minute, even though both KG and especially PP had awful games on the offensive
end, I'm still feeling good about this series.
LA was definitely the more aggressive team in Game 3 and reaped the reward at the foul line. I didn't think the refs had much to do with this. More than anything though, we played poor offensively. Giving up 87 is fine. Scoring 81 on 34% shooting isn't likely to get it done. Odom and Gasol continue to look soft. Vujacic was the only Laker other than Bryant to hit double figures. Pay a little more attention to him, have KG (who acknowledge he needs to) and PP take it to the hoop more, and shoot better, and we'll be fine.
