How fitting will it be, by the way, if they can close this out on Father's Day? With Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and James Posey all having children within
a few months of the playoffs and for it all to come to fruition this Sunday which just be a nice backdrop to it all. Then we can have the 17th Champioship
Parade on Tuesday the 17th when they return home.

To her credit, she said something like "Isn't that your job to know the answer to that?" I'm paraphrasing but basically she threw it back in his ugly face. It truly revealed what an idiot he is. Before the series started, I gave the coaching edge to Jackson over Rivers based mostly on his extensive Finals experience. I WAS WRONG. Jackson really has no idea what he is doing. You can see during interview that he basically watches the game like any ordinary fan. He has no game plan. He's gotten all those championships because he's had great players. I guess I knew that before and I just forgot. |

Unreal. One cool think you may not have notice....watch the highlights and look at the end of the laker bench. There are two fans that are sitting one inch
away from the bench and the two are Celtic fans. In the forth quarter they were jumping up and down while the laker sitting right next to him looked like he
wanted to killhim.

Still in shock.... Ray Allen was immense last night - he's such a smooth player, always in control of his body, that up and under layup was ridiculous, and
then the capper on Vujacic. I can't say enough about his performance.... Eddie House was the forgotten man in the playoffs - Doc decided to play it safe by
favoring Cassell - but the energy level is so much higher when he's on the court....It will be interesting to see if Doc stays with the small ball lineup
of Allen/House/Posey/Pierce/Garnett. Rondo is clearly not moving well on that ankle and Perk is banged up.... Let's end this thing on Sunday.

House had a slick shovel pass to Pierce or Allen late in the game - I never understood why House doesn't get more credit or more court time.

Agreed Bob. House stepped up big time. He also helps in that he can shoot, so the D can't cheat as much as they do with Rondo.

It was a pass to Posey for the nice left handed layup. Posey had 18 pts and House 11.

Wow is right. I give up trying to figure out this team. You never know, never mind game to game, even quarter to quarter whether you're going to get
Dr. Jeckyl or Mr. Hyde. Just freakin' incredible. After that miserable first half, where we stunk in every possible way and the Lakers, even the scrubs,
couldn't miss, I set the game up to tape the second half. I wound up watching the beginning of the third quarter and was briefly encouraged when they cut
it quickly from 18 to 12, but then it was 18 again before I could blink. I turned the TV off then, and wound up over at the computer where, after a few
minutes, I checked in. By then it was down 11. Then, in a flash, it was down to 2. At this point I checked into the chat room, where Zeke rode me for
jumping on the bandwagon just as it was pulling out. I decided, being the unsuperstitious person I claim to be, that the team was doing better without me
watching. So I went to bed, hoping for the best. Woke up to the amazing news and watched the second half on tape. Moral of the story, now twice-proven in
this series, is that if a team has a 24 point lead and it dwindles to 2, the best thing JMost can do to help the Celtics is go to bed.
I haven't read anything this morning about the extent of Perkins injury, or Rondo's health, but it's gonna be very, very tough for the Lakers to win 3 in a row with the final two in Boston. Unbelievable.
IT'S ALL OVER. IT'S ALL OVER. And the Boston Celtics are World Champions for the SEVENTEENTH TIME.

Don't Call It A Comeback! C's Shock Lakers in Game 4 Rally
I love this at the celtics.com page, because everyone was calling it a comeback and sure they came back... but they rallied to play so hard at both ends of the court... it was great! That pass from house was beautiful, Rondo must be teaching him a thing or two. When we first signed cassel i was pretty happy, I was in europe and my wife was on the internet and was like the celts signed sam caassal, who is he? her annunciation was wonderful. Well I just didn't see him fitting in well with this team at the end of the season, and was disappointed Eddie who had played really well most of the year was getting the shaft. Well when Cassel came here he said it's the point guard out there at the end of the game, it hasn't been him, its b een House when Rondo can't go. House's 3pt ability really helps to open up the court for our guys, who cares if we have to bring the ball across court by PG by committee TA got some playing time, a good rebound and I didnt see any big mistakes I'm worried about Perk, thats the same shoulder that had him out so long last year?or the year before when it wasn't the foot fasicteias (or whate3ver that word is) Paul saying he wanted to play d on kobe was the difference maker in the 2nd 1/2 it really made our Team D need to help less to guard Kobe, than with Ray on him. Don't get me wrong Ray played well but Paul really helped his team by getting much of it done on his own. Who's you guy's vote for mvp of the series so far? i think they need to change it to MVT, and the t is not for tommy point |

I take full credit for this victory. My reverse jinx worked to perfection. I always believe they would make a comeback.
Let's face it. The Celtics have yet to play a complete game from end to end. It's amazing that they are up 3-1 in this series. It's a either a
testimony on how good this team can be or how bad the Lakers really are. The Jazz and Spurs must be wondering how they lost to this team.
Another game that will be replayed on ESPN Classic and NBATV for years to come. Now they need to refocus to end this. |

Gents, that was the most amazing thing ever! To watch it live was a roller coaster. I went from excited and nervous, to mad and depressed, to angry and
deflated, to nervous and excited to complete and utter joy! The crowd was stunned! I watched it on TV late last night and finished this morning and it
didn't do it justice. They were stunned to the point where nobody knew what was going on....it was the most amazing thing ever. I can't wait for game
5.

Why won't Rondo shoot? He was 2-4 overall, 1-2 inside the lane and 1-2 outside. He only missed ONE jumper. It has to be something more than fear of
missing. They said in the pregame that jumping hurt him the most. Is that what it is?

Play nice LeeGenius - DukeFan is our west coast correspondent along with Mev . . . he requires our utmost respect, because you know how those Laker Fans can
gang up on rogue Celtics fans and beat them down. That's why we love to BEAT LA!
My wife was humerous, as I had forgotten how much of a fan she is, but it took these Finals to bring it out. She was deriding Jackson for having to take a timeout after LA was temporarily weathering the Celtic storm - that exchange that SDiddy spoke of between Michelle Tafoya and Jackson showed how much of a prick Jackson is - and to think I used to think he was pretty cool being the Zen Master and all with the Jordanaires. And I'm about having enough of Kobe - the fictitious family man - this will forever be the image I will have of Kobe Bryant from this series

That's the image that sticks out in my head because it's pretty much what I did all 4th quarter at a downtown pub last night. It was crazy last night. First we went to a patio pub and was on the prowl after a few pitchers of brew and a few shots of God knows what before game preview time. Then 15min before tipoff, the power went out when I was draining the lizard in the backroom. Every flatscreen behind the bar was done for (except their touchscreen cashier machine was good to go) so I decided to pull the plug on any potential honey and quickly abandon ship for another place. So we walked into a big sports bar 20min drive away and promptly looked up to find the C's down 26-7!!! "WTF is going on!!!" I miss a few moments and whaddaya know Odom goes off in the first quarter and the rout is on, not that I'm superstitious or anything. I called my good luck sister, who lives around the corner, to come join in getting our rally back on - not that I'm superstitous or anything. I guess I got kind of obnoxious when the rally was in full force but I was sort of impervious to the astounding amount of Laker fans in the joint. I saw one kid in there about 16 or so with a Celtics shirt on, but the turd left at halftime. I was throwing haymakers in the air when Posey drilled those nail coffin three's while getting glares from across the way. I was like screaming something to the effect of "ITS OVER - DAGGER SHOT". Then when Jesus Shuttlesworth shook Vuajic enroute to a uncontested layup I was experiencing a different sort of ecstasy. Bill Simmons said the camera shot of Vuajic in near tears was 'The best moment of my life' LOL. I concur - almost. All I got to say is I'm still stunned by last nights turn of events. That has to be my all time favorite Celtic memory (I'm not that old) but it will all be moot if we don't finish the job and I prefer it be done on Sunday in front of the Hollywood faithful. It's amazing how all the media and the analysts have done a full 360 as if they always knew the Celtics were the superior team, except for that douche David Thorpe who keeps apologizing for the Lakers shortcoming while experiencing some sort of denial. The only guy I could think to give credit to all along is Tim Legler, who stuck with the C's through and through. Hollinger jumped off the bandwagon after the Pistons series for whatever reason. daniel stern 'I ADMIT IT! I LOVE THE CELTICS!' Congrats to MIKE MARTIN for winning the Catherine Bell trivia sweepstakes and yes JUG those are the jugs you saw from the series JAG. Catherine Bell most underrated, most beautiful goddess in the whole wide planet. |

Great story, MVJ. Us 'old guys' need young bar-crawling whippersnappers like to you live out our unfulfilled skirt-chasing fantasies. For all your
troubles, didn't you even get a "fk U" or slap across the face from some young fair maiden? I have a feeling that your dedication to the
Celtics, booz and women could have been our lucky charm last night "not that I'm superstitous or anything", he, he
One lasting image for me is that of Sasha "crybaby" Vujacic losing his cool on the bench when somebody tries to give him a pat on the back. Not
exactly the mark of a champion. The more positive image is that of Paul Pierce right after the game, walking down the hall to the locker room, super-pumped
up, yelping to anyone in earshot something like "YEAH! THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!!"

Once we stopped missing shots we normally make, the Lakers did not have as many transition opportunities and started to lose their flow on offense -- plus
Pierce guarding Kobe meant Boston didn't have to double team him in the low post. And having shooters on the floor stretched out LA's defense and we
were able to attack the basket. Against LA, we can afford to go small for long stretches, as they are not the most physical team out there. When we turn our
defense on, LA has no idea what to do with it. So much for "seeing something" in the fourth quarter of game 2. We've even pushed Phil into
abandoning his precious triangle for long stretches at a time.
Outstanding win, and I would love to see us win it in five. |

Thanks Surf and game 4's second half was better than sex and lasted much longer. Vujacic crying was the mother of all toppers I have to agree with you and
Simmons. Network dropped the ball, missing shots of Nicholson in the end. I imagine Nicholson (costello in The Departed) muttering something like '
f'ckin rats ' as the C's put the finishing touches on Lakers. Oh yah and going along with the Departed theme -- Comfortably Numb is locked in
repeat mode somewhere in the Paul Pierce subconscious.
