I agree..no more fn announcers wondering if this team is good or just lucky. Now they have to announce them as the defending champs. Remember the whole
universe waiting for this team to explode as if they were not as good as their record. Well assmuchers, they went wire to wire...

I had a Celtics t-shirt back in 1986 that said "Let's get it back-to-back!" I wonder if I can find it.

We'll see how much bigger that X is this year... I really thought teams gunned for us this year, but being the champs has got to make teams play harder
against you
posey has a player option worth more than he made this year. Wyc said on the radio he's worth all the money in the world... they will bring TA back... He played so well when paul went down last year, and even w/ that giant knee brace a few bone head plays, he still is a great slasher to have! I'd love to see gabe get further along, but Eddie is abetter number 2 at PG, even if he is a true SG I went to the parade, Paul puffing a stoggey, big baby running around w/out a $#!# dana barros was happy my buddy and i knew him Danny gave me a double take when i congradulated him on getting it done in less than 7 years... (i hope he doesnt think i was being a dick) |

Barros has been working out with the team. If we don't bring House back (and Sam is gone I presume) I like Barros better than Pruitt as the backup PG.

Wow , Dana Barros? Can we get someone younger than tenaciousT at least.

Haha....Hey Dill, I was at the parade too. I liked the truck load of young little cheerleaders myself.

The parade was awesome, I was outside the garden doing promo for espn before hand and Havlicek walked by like two feet from me and I yelled
"HONDO!!!", he nodded at me and kept going into the building, this guy behind me says to his friend, "who's Hondo" the guys says
"John Havlicek", he says again, "Who's that?", I turn around and look at him "He's the all-time leading scorer of this
franchise." His friend said "I'm so ashamed of you right now."
Anyway, the parade was legit, I had a blast, between being at game 6 and the parade, I'm still in a state of euphoria right now. It's unreal. |

You're right Surferdad. I should have included Deron Williams. It was just an oversight. Problem is I don't get to see the western teams that often and Williams doesn't get the press that Chris Paul does. We definitely need to move on Posey and I wouldn't mind bringing House and Tony back. I'm afraid that if we lose Tony, he will return to form next year and we will regret the loss. Is PJ definitely going to retire? I wouldn't mind bringing him back for one more year. However, I know we need to make room for our first round choice and maybe a free agent. I do expect big things from Pruitt either this coming year of the next. I thought Sam Cassell had one more year on his contract but that Doc was hoping he would join the coaching staff.
We also need to keep Thibedeau. |

As always good thoughts by everyone.
A small, but quality board..and I'm happy with that. I've enjoyed the past number of years with all the posters that started with my time on scout.com (or insider) and have come over here. I must also include any that came along after that. You are a great group to read. Thanks for staying and sharing. And of course, thanks to Justin for putting together the other board as an option once scout began to sink into the mire. Even when you're wrong (meaning ...you don't agree with me) you guys put forth interesting arguments and good reads. If I've been a little more contrarian of late...hey, someone's got to do it. It's all in fun. I can't believe we are celebrating banner number 17 and Kevin Garnett is a Celtic. I'm still in shock. What a great year and the best end to it we could possibly want. Celtics rule! |

Don't go getting sappy on us tT!!!
Hmmm . . . Gabe Pruitt - what do the Celtics have in this guy? I can't imagine that he's at House's level yet, but perhaps the Celtics need to invest just a little bit in development . . . Personally - I can't see the Celtics keeping their 1st round pick - it just doesn't make sense and doesn't fit their agenda right now. |

Mke, that's funny..."who's Hondo". There should have been a beat down after that stupid comment.
Yak, nice warm Summer day brought out the college girls to the parade...yaah. |

If I recall correctly, D West is a free agent. Wouldn't mind bringing him in as a combo guard off the bench. He had some good moments in the playoffs
(winning one on the road with a last second shot, his 15 and 5 vs us in game 7). He would give us energy and would certainly fit in. Not sure, but we could
probably get him for a salary within the MLE.
Any thoughts? |

That was tough to trade Delonte - can you imagine the dynamic he would have with guys like Big Baby and Pollard around?
