Reschedule the draft for Tues 10 PM Eastern?

I think everyone except tT and Jugs are ok with trying again Tues Oct 28 at 10 PM. Can you two guys weigh in?

Also, I don't know about anyone else but I'm not feeling real confident that nba.com is going to work any better on Tuesday. Should we set up a league at Yahoo that we can move to if nba.com is still fucked up in 2 days? We could set a draft time of 10:05 and just move over if necessary.

yak provided the link above, and I'm not to hopeful that this will be reconciled with NBA.com. I think we just use the board or e-mail and do it the old fashioned way. We can post a matrix easy enough with the most current results. Thoughts?

Also checked out Yahoo and they can't do the Head-to-Head with the points system that we liked.

Like this - it would be super easy - relaxing and we'd get done when we get done this week with no stinking time limit - of course there would be plenty of harassment if someone delays their selection . . . . This can all be done so easily on this board versus using e-mail too - this week is shot anyway for scoring.

I sent this to you all via e-mail in response to Jughead's e-mail - he won't be available for Tuesday . . . I just think using the board works better for all of us and our schedules - we should be checking into the board anyway by virtue of our association . . .

In response to Jugs comment that the e-mail draft didn't work before:

I think the e-mail draft didn't work because some of the individuals were not into it, and look now - we have 8 dedicated folks who basically are around computers morning and evening, and have an easy opportunity to just get things done casually - this week is written off anyway and allows time to get it done.

I was just in an e-mail draft with an established group like ours and everyone just checked in regularly and we got the draft in 6 days - and they had 40 more picks than we will have - we should be able to get ours done by this weekend - no problem - hell - we could do a live draft through our board no problem. I just don't trust NBA.com - did you see the link that yak found? http://my.nba.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5700022969 - it ain't working.

We really should just use the board - it's what it's meant for - it would be serendipitous. We can do this in a fun fashion and get it done this week no problem!

Should have taken Bob Denver and Richard Simmons - at least they are both alive...except for Bob Denver.

I guess that people named Denver don't live very long.

(BTW...is Bob Denver - Gilligan - dead?) Gene Simmons only looks partially alive at that.

I'm fine with an e-mail or Tuesday night draft - but prefer e-mail, because I have to write an article after the game on Tuesday. No- I'm not going to be there.

ugh is okay with Yahoo - but we'd have to come to grips with a new scoring system - I went ahead and created a league for us there.

Let's get it started with email, and also have a date next weekend when we can finish it up with a live draft if we need to.

There was a reason we left Yahoo. I think it they had some bugs too.

NBA.com and the autodraft is all messed up as it says our draft is ready - I imagine it is going to autodraft at some point.

I suggest that we decide on NBA.com or not, but the Yahoo league seems to be the way to go, where we have to use categories if we stick with head-to-head, or we can do a roto style, but at this point.

If we stick with NBA.com - I think we have to do the e-mail draft on this board. We can set a time to do some of it live manually if need be using the chat room feature - but why not get the first few rounds out of the way now?

ALSO - I JUST REALIZED THAT I CAN'T DO TUESDAY - THAT MAKES 3 OF US OUT
I have a meeting where I have to get on the road around 5 AM Wednesday morning.

Let's face if folks - we have to do it manually, and I am going to set up the draft page here on the board now.

Yes - maybe later this week we can arrange a time and we can do it with the aid of the chat room - although I thought the chat room was difficult to keep up with as I would go back to see what I missed, it would automatically scroll to a new post, so it was impossible to go back to the old chat posts.

If we just use the posts in the Manual Draft thread - that should work just fine.

Like JMost said, later this week we can all just be logged in and go through things even more quickly. It should be painless.

The email I just got said that MVJ is on the clock, but the draft order shown indicates something different (the pre-scramble order?). Are we keeping with the order that we had before the live draft was aborted last night?
