The Celtics are just on another planet with their stiffling defense right now while the young Timberwolves have yet to grasp what it takes to be an elite team. Maybe in a couple of years this team will be playoff worthy but as of right now, they are nowhere good enough to compete with the big boys. Stranger things have happen especially when dealing with youth and a good home crowd but I expect the Celtics to run away with this one down the stretch.

We're that good. Still it will be good to see some of the ex-Celtics again.

Celtic first unit looks flat. KG, Allen and PP look disjointed at times. Second unit has saved the game for the C's from being ridiculous at half. If I were Doc, I would just start the second unit to begin the half.

Horrid shooting from the Celtic starting five and torrid shooting from the Wolves kept this game close all the way. I really don't think the Celtics took this team seriously plus getting in late last night probably didn't help. The T-wolves slacked off Rondo early and often at the offensive end. It worked in the first half when the Celtics didn't pay attention but got burned in the second half when Rondo started cutting to the basket. The T-Wolves don't have a shot blocker so rondo got easy hoops this time but against teams like the Magic, it might not work out as well. Until Rondo develops a decent jumper teams, will continue to ignore him and leave him open for the jumper. The Celtics didn't play their best game and somehow won? 76 more games for 82-0. It's OK, we take the win and move on. I think the lesson is learned that, especially on the ass end of back-to-backs, defense will need to be what carries them, as the offensive legs tend to wilt a bit. It's too bad Al's defensive game has never developed (and in fact, may have regressed a bit in the past couple of years). This may be the difference between him being a cornerstone of a championship contender or a Shareef Abdur-Rahim.
