I thought we could use this thread to workout trades in our league. Also, this will give everyone a chance to bid on players that one might be interested in getting rid of.

Let me just ask before we get too far into this thread. Should we create a Fantasy League Forum all on it's own?

I'm gunna start with inquiring about Dwight Howard. What's it going to take for you to let go of him MVJ?

That might be a better idea Jugs

Al Horford and a bag of Fritos for Dwilight Howard. That's my opening offer to MVJ.

Good idea Frank.
Let the ideas flow. |

Frank, what you last offered was very fair but the problem is that they paired my other starting players which I'm trying to avoid in my starting lineup. I'm still looking at it, though it would be tough to part with a guy I'm going to tab a keeper. It would probably take pulling off a 3 way deal so put your thinking cap on Danny Ainge.
I'm still kind of sore about losing Aldridge when I thought for sure I could get him 1 rd later then he actually went. Yak?? Since when did we have Aldridge fans here? I may need a SF because I thought Gay was F eligible from the get-go. |

BTW guys...No trades in this fantasy league last year? Did I hear that right?
If so that would be hard to believe with all the wheeler dealer minds in this forum! |

I know MVJ - I was shocked - without the Lemon Law in effect, everyone was too tepid. Not many risk takers in this group. I got a few offers for folks like Josh Smith and Mehmet Okur, but I didn't feel that the trade offers benefited my team. Obviously everyone else felt that way.
I do know that tenaciousT was working the phones hard trying to trade JRSmith. I hung up on him when he offered JR Smith for Josh Smith . . . |

I don't remember getting offered anything decent last season and I had a well balanced team then. Have to take a peek at my guys here in the first week or so to see how we play out...

Jughead - you had the perfect team - it was maintenance free because you had consistently good picks all the way to the last round. Of course what a difference a year makes

MVJ, I've got your SF right here with Josh Smith, and Tyson Chandler to replace Howard in the middle for you. What else do you need specifically? I'm willing to include more pieces.

Quote: I wouldn't call myself an Aldridge fan. He was just the best big available when it was my turn to pick. I couldn't decide between him and Tyson but frank made it moot when he picked up Chandler early in the fourth round. Besides you took Rudy Gay from me (who I had last year) but it didn't get back to me soon enough so I had to settle for Richard Jefferson so everything evens out in the end. |

I draft Rudy last year

One thing I notice about this format is that it will be less compelling to make a trade because there is only one statistic that we're accumulating . . . Fantasy points. So before, if you wanted to get some more assists and you had rebounds to spare, and another team needed rebounds and had assists to spare, then conceptually a trade could be worked out. But I'm interested to see if a trade even gets done this year, especially when none were completed last year.
I challenge everyone in the league to make a reasonable offer. We still have to be strong at each of the positions, so if you are overloaded at the SF position like I am and could use depth at another position, well put an offer out there! In the rules - I'm not sure if the trade has to be approved or not, but typically objections are heard by the comish if it is considered too lopsided . . . |

i can't believe nobody has offered any trades for my dominance of a team...shocking.

Not necessarily, Bob. If you need help at Center, and I have extra centers, and you have extra guards, and I could use a guard, something could be done.
Or, if my team sucks, but I have one superstar, I might be moved to trade him for two lesser stars if someone else has a very deep team. |

Agreed Zeke, but I'm just saying that it is less compelling to make a trade than when 9 categories were in effect. The other factors for making the trade are certainly there like you say.

Honestly I haven't had time to seek out trades and I am not so sure I know what I have on my team yet either.

Now that I have Odom back at PF, I am looking to trade Haslem for some help at SG. Anyone rich at SG but need a PF?
