I guess it went right through because Webster is available for me to play tonight.

I've accepted your trade MVBob. First trade in two seasons in our league!

I think so too. I'm starting to feel like my team is taking shape.

Ike Diogu's on the shelf. Perhaps in the market for a rebounding PF.

JMost - the timing was awful for Webster to have had his first bad game last night - hopefully he'll get back to where he was. Maybe Haslem will stink it up tonight and return the favor!

No but Horford is my backup Center. I wasn't about to trade him away for an average sg. If Aldridge goes down I would be screwed at the center spot. Decent Centers are harder to find in fantasy league as opposed to shooting guards.I was just looking for insurance at the SG position with Heinrich struggling at that position for me right now. I just didn't think Azuibukie was worth my backup center.

Horford is the man - he was my boy in this past draft.

I need a center. I'll listen to all offers.
Jermaine O'Neal and Krystic are mine currently |

You have Gasol and not O'Neal at Center tT!! But you're big men in O'Neal and Krystic are not getting off to great starts at all . . . I think Ben Wallace finally awoke and is putting up some nice numbers at C for me.

Well looks like NBA.com took it upon themselves to solve my shooting guard concerns. They made Mike Miller who was designated just as a SF and added the SG status to him over thanksgiving. Thank you, thank you. I won't complain about their site again...unless it warrants complaining.

You're right, Bob. But, as you say, Gasol is not doing much.
I should say I need a PF and C. O'Neal is a flop so far, too. E-gads! This happened last year with Troy Murphy, Jameer Nelson, Boris Diaw and Zydrunas. I sure know how to pick guys who will have 'off' years. Even LeBron wasn't everything he could have been last year. Looks like a long year for me this year. Oh well. |

32Fan - you have a very fair offer for Mr. Allen, one that you can't refuse . . .

Either your brains or your signature will on that contract.

Re: Celtics17 Fantasy Trade Room | ||

Actually, I was quoting the Godfather - that was the famous "offer he couldn't refuse". The singer, who was modeled after Sinatra (who was said to have mob ties) was stuck in a bad contract with a record company. The company refused to let him out of the contract. The singer (whose name I can't remember in the movie) asked Michael's father (Vito Corleone, Brando's character) to help him. As Michael tells his gf/future wife (Diane Keaton) the story, she asks how his father convinced the record producer to let him out of the contract. He said "my father made him an offer that he couldn't refuse".
When she pressed him on exactly what that meant, he finally relented and said "my father put a release form in front of the producer and held a gun to his head. He assured him that either his signature or his brains would be on that contract." That might not be an exact quote, but it's pretty close. |

I advise caution when dealing with MBob, 32. He might have some inside info on Ray ray that we're not privy too.
