Hahahaha - That's so funny that you caught that JMost! You had no doubt that was me. I like the afternoon show so much better than the morning show, but
Chris could use a co-host I think. Anyway, if you ask Lebron he'll tell you that whining and winning go hand in hand...

I like the afternoon show a lot better too and it's because Chris has fun and laughs WITH his callers instead of insulting them like they frequently do in
the morning. I think he also knows a lot more about sports than the morning hosts do.
I was thinking about this the other day, that having a sports talk show doesn't mean you know any more than many of your listeners, yet that is exactly how some of them behave.

You just nailed why I can't stand the morning show. Everytime I try to engage Shoe in an intelligent debate he scoffs and has no rebuttal. The other day he
was lamenting the signing of PJ Brown and went so far as to say that PJ didn't play last season. I called and let him know that PJ played 72 games last
season and that it was for short money, there weren't a lot of other options out there, PJ was a veteran and you can never have enough on a veteran team,
AND that the team needs depth in the frontcourt. I can buy into the argument that some people think we should have gone after a different big, i.e. a debate
concerning preference, but Shoe didn't have anything to say but, "I don't get, it just doesn't make any sense." The reason he doesn't
get it is because he's a freakin' idiot and he masks that with his egomaniac insult the caller shtick, which has had gotten so incredibly old.
Chris' girlfriend knows more about sports than Shoe does. Here's the thing though, you can have a sports show and know less than your callers, but you
have to be comfortable with your limitations and at least have the cajones to back up you opinion with some kind of facts, even if you are misguided at least
it shows you are trying to be informed...

You know what? I caught your PJ Brown call too but didn't recognize you on that one.
Have you ever thought that the morning guys don't even watch the games? It sure seems like that to me sometimes. They just seem so ignorant. Of course, we're a couple of knuckleheads for tuning in.

Yeah, I have pretty much written that show off, but every once in a while I tune in and call. I think you're right that they are ignorant. They have a
decent knowledge of the Pats and Red Sox though, serviceable enough to do the show anyway, but I don't think they like basketball at all to be honest and I
def don't think they watch very many games.
I guess WEEI is supposed to come in to our market pretty soon and I like the local show feel, but will tune into their competition if they don't polish it up a little and change the way they handle their calls... |

Not to change the subject but...
now that I know that 'keeper league' doesn't mean your whole team, I 'offed' Yi, Sean Williams, and might do the same with Conley. Thanks for the late news...you punks. I could be right up there if I knew that earlier. Don't try and make up to me either. |

Ha! Ha!
I read the recent posts. I'm talking about from the very beginning....unless the number of keepers was mentioned back then. In which case...... you are correct and I offer my humblest apologies...and claim ....old age! Did I miss something back at the start? I'm too lazy to trace the thread. |

Yeah tT, we went back and forth about whether we'd be keeping 2 or 3 pretty much right at the start of the season.

In that case...
as Rosanne Rosanadanna used to say after her rants... Nevermind. I got what I deserved for not paying attention. |

Not to throw a damper on Jughead's strategy of hoarding roster moves to max out games played in the playoffs, but it appears as though the waiver wire was
closed on 3/22. So what you got is what you got boys!

I remember now that I set it that way to protect against just such a manipulation. Good thing I am happy with my team

Hey, sorry I didn't participate much lately...although it is nice to see I am still in 5th without trying. I finally found a job 4 weeks ago and I
can't post from work much anymore and I get home late and after putting my kids to bed the last think I want to do is go on the internet. But, screw all
you guys anyways, hehe.
Do we have a winner yet? I am so out of touch. |

Zeke kicked butt - we don't know why, except that he picked up Calderon who had to be the top FA pickup of the year, didn't make any dumb trades and
had relatively healthy players (Caron Butler, my guy from last year, got dinged up later in the season). That's sort of been Jug's (last year's
winner) strategy as well . . . maybe I should try that . . .
