The basketballs to the left of thread names are there on every single one, not just the one's with unread posts in them. If we could get that one cleared up, it'd be fantastic. Don't mean to be picky, but thanks guys.

You need to mark the forums as read - there is a button within each one to do that. I am then waiting to see what happens when someone posts something I haven't read and then I read it - will it automatically masrk as read at that point or will I have to select that each time - not sure yet, but there is no fix for that I can find right now either way...

I just found out - you have to mark it as read each time you finish them. You can select for it to show only the new threads though and then mark them as read when you are done...

The feature doesn't exist for individual threads, Zeke. It only marks an entire forum as read. You have to keep track yourself that you've read everything in, say, Celtics Discussions or Offtopic Discussions, then mark that forum as read. Yes, the old board was better in this one aspect.

Right, I thought my post would be confusing. On the forum pages, threads with new posts (new to me, anyway) are marked with a basketball. That feature still works.
When we first started here, the individual posts I hadn't read within a thread were also marked with a basketball. This feature has gone away. It must exist, if it used to be there. The old board didn't have the latter feature, so I can live without it. But it is a very nice feature. |
