I was not there unfortunately - Jeff Clark went for CelticsBlog as he was home for Thanksgiving and I was in Baltimore with my wife's family. Awesome game!

Oops - you mentioned that already! Have friends living in Baltimore, love that city . . . especially when the Red Sox are in town!

The best park to take in a game is down here. Not to mention it's never overpacked. They actually live in Cockeysville so we rarely pack up the kids and get into Baltimore, but one interesting fact I learned while visiting here this Thanksgiving is that Carmelo Anthony commuted to Towson Catholic High School from Baltimore for his first three years before going to Oak Hill for his Senior year. My wife actually went to Towson Catholic, but graduated 2 years before Anthony arrived...

Sounds like only a few degrees of separation between you and Melo - Melo's turning into a classy individual for the NBA/Team USA after the little scuffle he got into last year mid-season resulting in that suspension.

Really? Or has he just kept a low profile? Between the aforementioned sucker punch and that "snitching" video he appeared in a couple of years ago, I think the kid's a punk.
Yeah, I love Camden Yards, although my friend down there hates it turning into Fenway south. |

According to this guy, a Baltimore native, Melo has turned the corner after the two moments of thuggery in 2004 and 2006 -
Quote: Not that I was aware of that stuff, I had heard that he was getting good reports from team-mates, fans, etc. with his participation with Team USA over the summer. But once a thug, always a thug? |

Not necessarily, but in my mind, it will take more than a few PR moves to make me change my opinion of him. If he keeps his nose clean for a couple of years and remains an upstanding citizen, then I could admit I was wrong about him.
